A message from Pastor Amy . . .
Beloved, as many of you know, it was announced on Sunday, March 28, that I will be appointed to serve at Morning Star UMC in Las Cruces, NM, effective July 1.
That, of course, means that the parsonage is full of boxes as my family and I prepare to make a move much sooner than we anticipated. For Olivia Kay, it is only fun and games! The rest of us are in full transition mode, experiencing the grief and hope that comes in times like these. We have loved El Paso and the people of St. Paul's, and we have been so very well loved by all of you. Thank you. To the people of Morning Star: we are prepared to love you with our whole hearts, too. It is the United Methodist way.
I am so thrilled to be working with Rev. Bobby Wilson as he prepares to serve as the next pastor of St. Paul's UMC El Paso. You'll have the opportunity to learn more about Bobby and Cheryl and their children next week.
Thank you for the privilege of learning and growing and serving with you during the past two years. Your innovation and resiliency in a time of sustained global crisis speaks to the depth of your faithfulness and has shaped my own faith and ministry in profound ways. Thanks be to God. And thank you.
