Rev. Amy Wilson Feltz
Pastor

Amy Wilson Feltz was ordained an elder in the Northwest Texas Conference of the UMC in June 2011 and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Abilene Christian University. Amy places her faith in Jesus the Christ as the perfect and complete manifestation of God’s love and also sees God revealed in everyday experiences such as enjoying a cup of coffee, savoring a piece of chocolate and practicing yoga. She trusts in humanity’s divinely inspired ability to care for humanity and all of God’s good creation. Amy shares a joyous life with her husband, Dr. Jason Feltz, and their three children, Natalie, Augustus and Olivia.

Dick Sears
Office Administrator

Dick’s duties include overseeing the daily functions of the office, as well as preparing the weekly newsletter, service bulletins and power point presentations, overseeing the church facility and assisting the senior pastor. Dick has worked at the church for seven years and has been a member since 1969. Dick and his wife, Susan, have been married for 40 years and have three children and nine grand-children.

Elizabeth Caster
Director of Stewardship Ministries

As the Director of Stewardship Ministries, or business manager, Beth keeps track of giving and pays the bills, along with the details that go along with that. She also plays the organ for the 9:30 AM traditional service and accompanies the choir. Beth started working for the church in a part-time capacity in 1975 as the newsletter editor and went to full-time in 1978 as the church secretary. She became the church business manager in 1985. Her parents joined St. Paul’s in 1960, when Beth was 6 years old, and Beth joined three years later. She has two older brothers, two nephews, one niece and three great nephews, none of which live in El Paso.
Christine Jubera
Director of Music Ministries
Christine has served in church music ministry for the last 48 years, as soprano soloist, director of music ministries, including adult and youth choirs, as well as organist. She has been at St. Paul’s for seven years serving as Director of Music Ministries, directing the chancel choir, bell choir, occasional children’s performances, cantatas, hymn festivals and musical worship celebrations. Christine received a bachelor of music education degree in choral conducting, voice and piano performance from Central Michigan University. She received a master of music degree in voice performance from the University of Texas at El Paso. A Michigan native, Christine first moved to El Paso in 1984, then returned in 1994 after teaching in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She has three sons, Jonathan, Justin and Jeremy.

Herman Gomez
Contemporary Song Leader

Herman Gomez has served as the leader of the praise band for the contemporary service at St. Paul’s for several years. Herman also oversees all of the sound needs at the church.

Curtis Hampton
Pianist

Curtis has served as the pianist in both worship services for about 10 years. He has studied many things throughout his life and and worked in many capacities, including serving in the military and as a licensed funeral director. He has lived in El Paso many times in his life, moving back most recently in 1994.

William H. “Bill” Wood
Certified Lay Minister

Bill Wood was born and raised in small communities west of Fort Worth, TX and moved to El Paso in 1957. He and his family joined St. Paul’s UMC in 1972. Since joining St Paul’s, Bill has served in many different areas of leadership. He currently serves as the leader of an adult, Bible-oriented Sunday School discussion class and assists in selecting literature for other adult classes and weekly or monthly small groups. Bill is a Certified Lay Minister in the New Mexico District of the UMC and as such, assists the pastor, as directed. Bill and his wife, Beverly, and have four children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Kathy Jewell, Certified Lay Minister

Kathy has served in a covenant relationship with St. Paul’s UMC as a Certified Lay Minister since 2014. She also serves as the outreach coordinator for hospitality and missions and as the facilitator of the Koinonia adult Sunday School class. Beyond the local church, Kathy serves as the El Paso District Lay Leader, chair of the District Board of Laity, member of many district committees and as the chair of the UTEP Wesley Foundation Board. At the conference level, Kathy serves on the New Mexico Conference committee Board of Trustees, on the Episcopacy committee, on the Nominations committee, on the conference Board of Laity on the Committee on Investigation, on the Envisioning Team as the co-director of the Certified Lay Ministry in New Mexico.

Rev. Nicole Crouch, Director of Missional Ministries for the El Paso District

While her appointment is to the district, Nicole expresses great appreciation for her office at St. Paul’s on the East side of El Paso. Her job is to work with churches throughout the El Paso District to engage them in working together in their missional areas, which are geographic areas of the district in which a certain number of churches reside. Missional areas are charged with working together to create and implement a joint ministry that builds relationships with the surrounding community and works to fulfill our district vision of everyone finding a place to belong, believe and be useful.
In addition to this, Nicole also works to support the El Paso District Border Ministries, which include both short-term and long-term responses to immigration as it impacts our communities. Nicole is beginning her second year in this position and her third year living in El Paso. She moved here with her husband, Zachary Silvis, who is in the Army and stationed at Ft. Bliss. They are glad to call El Paso home.
