Jesus Christ Is Lord

“Jesus Christ is Lord”

Luke 24:34; I Corinthians 15:57; Isaiah 53:5 The lamp at the bottom of the window represents the intense emotions that followed the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, during which Jesus and his disciples were praying in the Garden of Gethsemane at night. The cock depicted just above represents Peter, who denied he knew Jesus three times before the rooster crowed. The spear and the sop of vinegar represent the physical torture and comforts denied to the suffering Christ. The lamb with a banner represents “The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” The crown at the very top of the window recognizes that God made Jesus Christ Lord of Lords through the resurrection.
